Catalogue news – trading cup

Wednesday, May 6 — Spirit Hunters 2 – Amazonia; the sequel we’ve all been waiting for!

Spirit Hunters has been rightfully rewarded on multiple occasions for being the best game of 2019. It took a while before the makers of the game shared any news about a potential follow up.

Now we know that a sequel will happen and that it is planned to be released for October this year. Besides the title giving away the location (Amazonia), the creators have not released much information about the game. One thing that has been announced, is that the makers of Spirit Hunters will work together with Studio Delta again.
“Something our fans really enjoyed was the in-game music. Together with Studio Delta we’ve selected 50 songs from their catalogue that will ensure and bring back the same vibe and experience for our fans, as they had with our first edition” said Spirit Hunter’s Chief Designer Carmelo Anthono to GamerzMag.

Tuesday, May 5 — The Big Bang band sees royalty incomes taking a deep plunge

Let’s time-travel back to 2002, the year where The Big Bang band gained immense popularity to the general public after releasing a full music catalogue with music specifically made for animals. The band worked for over 10 years together with scientists on creating about 1000 tracks that could stimulate animal brain activity along with the feeling of happiness.
While the band has disappeared from the big stage, the 6 band members all crossed different paths and separate projects. Their Zoo Theme Park Melody, ever since its release, has been used in animal parks all across the world.
However, 18 years after its release, the band sees a big plunge in their royalty generation. While the music was made with all the best intentions for the animals, zoos no longer use and play the tracks at their premises or for any other promotional materials. Due to the increase in awareness of animals’ wellbeing, zoos have seen a decrease in the number of visitors they had over the past years. This has led to the zoos being open only during peak moments, such during summer months, and cutting down costs whenever possible – in our case, this means no longer playing music when there are no visitors in the parks.

Monday, May 4 — Are the Green Brothers the new superheroes we have all been waiting for?

It’s very usual for artists to get asked to make the intro- or theme songs for an upcoming movie. If an older song is being picked up, it is usually in playlists as we have seen with the mixtape of Guardians of the Galaxy for example.

For the Green Brothers, the situation is even more special. No need for new productions, yet 4 of their songs that were produced back in 2017 will be used for the new X-Men movie that should come out in the cinema later this year. The Green Brothers dressed up in their favorite superheroes and went together with some of the movie’s artists on Facebook Live, announcing that their music will be used all along the entire movie.

Friday, May 1 — #MeToo: the return of the boomerang

Sasha Lindon has been cleared from all accusations for sexual intimidation after another exciting turn in the case. During the first days of the case, we’ve seen a very calm Lindon present with friends and families at court.
At first, this was preserved as the real vicious and arrogant attitude of a predator, but now it seems it was with a good reason that Lindon remained confident. His lawyer brought forward some appealing evidence that turned the whole case upside down. All the claims against Lindon were quickly proven to be false when multiple of other staff members were testifying in favor of the artist. All tables turned when the accuser got called on the stand and Lindon’s lawyer ripped her story into pieces.
In fact, the young woman turned out to be blackmailing the artist in order to get money that would help her get out of financial problems, and she admitted to have been lying all along. She was asked by Lindon to dance in the clip, as he knew she was going through a hard time with her father dying in the hospital. Instead of going with her to the dressing room to make advances on the girl, Sasha Lindon went down to offer her to cover all medical bills. When her father eventually died, he left her with some big gambling debts. Desperate by the situation, the woman turned against Lindon – who initially wanted to help her.
After this strange turn of events, the song “Moonlight love” immediately rose to top of the streaming charts and is currently the most viewed video on YouTube. Also, Secret London quickly reinstalled the music of Sasha Lindon for their intro and announced that also next season will include Lindon’s music, as they apologize for jumping to conclusions too quick.
Sasha Lindon commented himself in one of the media outlets where he is now the cover image for: “Of course, getting these accusations hurts, but I was never worried about the outcome, as I knew what really happened. In such moments one can only remain silent and let the justice system do its work. Sometimes desperate times, make people do desperate things, it will take some time to heal, but I forgive Emily for this. I am happy my name and reputation got cleared, that’s all that matters in the end”.

Thursday, April 30 — ‘Poker of Moons’ big winner at the Grammy Awards

With the whole COVID-19 lockdown, many artists dove deep down into their studios, resulting in some massive productions. During this year’s Grammy Awards, the competition was fierce and unlike some of the previous years, there was no artist who outperformed the others.

However, on one thing all jury members and artist themselves seemed to agree on: Michelle De Monde had to win the ‘Album of the Year’ award for her production of the album ‘Poker of Moons’. Everyone we spoke with during and after the award ceremony unanimously agreed that Michelle’s album is flawless and will go down in history as one of the best albums ever produced.

Wednesday, April 29 — Country roads taking Paola Soleis home

After having disappeared for the past 2 years from the music scene, Paola Soleis announced during an interview with Fox the release of a new double album that she has been recording secretly in her studios at Soleis Range in Texas.
“For this album, I really wanted to go back to the roots of country music. At the same time, I wanted to tell my life’s story. What better place than the farm that has been for over 5 generation in my family, to do that?” specified Soleis Range during her interview. “Many people considered me disappearing from the music scene as the end of my career. I still have so much creativity within me to share with the world and this new album will be a clear statement that I am far from done”.
The double album will also include some collaborations and duets with top performing artists from the pop-scene. Soleis said that besides many other artists, 3 of America’s best singers of 2019 have come down to the studios in Texas and recorded with her some true “gems”. Country fans can take out their cowboy boots and warm up their legs for some line dancing when the album drops on 18 May 2020.

Tuesday, April 28 — 3 Zoos in France to be closed: will the real animals end up in their cages?

Zoos have seen a decrease in the number of visitors they had over the past years, leading to some of the zoo owners to take drastic measures. While most zoo owners turned to more sustainable solutions to cope with the situation, some of them found temporary quick fixes in illegal activities to remain open.
The French government has therefore decided to permanently close down 3 zoos that were in breach with the general rules of animal wellbeing. The zoos will not be allowed to open their doors during the upcoming spring. Their management staff have been accused of neglecting the good care of the animals and now risk to be closed behind jail bars themselves.
While the chances are high that some of the zoo owners will take a good taste of imprisoned life, the government is working together with national parks all across the world, and other animal parks within France, to give the rescued animals a better home.

Monday, April 27 — #MeToo: Sasha Lindon stands accused, Secret London change their theme song

Do not touch things that don’t belong to you, they say. This is something that Sasha Lindon is learning the hard way, after being accused for sexual intimidation in another #MeToo-scandal by one of his former assistants.
Being a top-model and singer/songwriter, Sasha Lindon has been spotted on multiple occasions with the company of beautiful women. However, he has always been presented as the ideal son-in-law and gentleman. This reputation comes now to a quick end, as he stands accused for facts that happened already back in 2017 while shooting a video clip in Mexico City.
One of his assistants back at the time – a good looking 22 year old woman – was asked directly by Sasha to join the clip as a dancer. The artist allegedly seized the opportunity to get closer to the young lady during the recording of the clip and was seen accompanying her to a private dressing room afterwards. Now the former assistant has come forward and accused Lindon for having used his power over her to have sex with her. The woman confesed to the police while filing her complaint that he obliged her to dress down and wait for him in the shower, where he imposed himself onto her for more than 40minutes.
Although Sasha Lindon claims all the accusations to be false, the famous TV show Secret London has already announced to put the use of his music as theme song on hold. Secret London’s Head producer Sloan Davids tweeted: “It speaks for itself that a TV show like ours, could never support predators like Lindon. I’m disgusted by this news.”

Friday, April 24 — Billy Vanish joining the HypeFactor judges, already leading to win-win situation before airtime

HypeFactor has been the number one reality and talent show in the United Kingdom, ever since it aired its first episode back in 2018. Unless you have been living under a rock, it has been hard not to hear anyone talking about the show. Last week’s announcement about Billy Vanish joining the judges for this upcoming season, promises to make it the most popular one so far.
While Hypefactor has mainly been popular to a 25-45 year-old audience, the program, since the announcement of Billy Vanish’s coming, has already seen a surge in popularity within the age group 15 to 25 – not coincidentally the exact age range for almost all of Billy’s fans.
The reality show however is not the only one benefitting from the collaboration. Even though her music has been non-stop in top of the charts, it seems that a complete new audience has started following Billy Vanish. Her old albums and songs are climbing the charts again, bringing even her first single back in the top 10 (even though it was produced back in 2016).
Billy wouldn’t be Billy if she wouldn’t give anything back to all the fans who support her. Earlier this morning, she announced on Instagram to be releasing a new album later this year.

Thursday, April 23 — The nineties are back in 2020

After the revival of ‘80s music tracks and genres that we have come across during the 2010s , it seems like the next decade is coming back to some of the most famous banging tunes of the ‘90s. Journalist and trend setting music influencer Mark Moosik forecasts a real revamp of Nineties’ Electronic Dance Music in the upcoming month.
“We’ve seen a steady grow in number of ‘I love the 90s’ parties all across Europe. These events started small but quickly grew out to massive events, even in the USA right now” says Moosik and it seems that many artists also caught up with this trend, as several of them have been rumored to be seen in the studio working on covers or remixes of old songs .
Many who have experienced the nineties and their clubbing vibes, know that it has been one of the biggest party and music-boom periods of all times. Mark Moosik concludes saying: “with all these covers and mixes coming up, the 2020 summer will be dominated by classics from the ‘90s. This music will give to many a feeling of nostalgia, while to younger kids it will allow them to discover some of the great EDM tunes that were made back in the days. I have no doubt that we’ll soon see some of those ‘90s tracks on top of the streaming charts in the next weeks”.
